 * 2014 we raised over $470 dollars for charity.  The winning team last year selected the Home Builders Foundation www.Hbfdenver.org and also elected to give a portion ($100) to the Golden Retrievers Rescue of the Rockies [GRRR]   http://www.goldenrescue.com/

Denver-based nonprofit that provides accessible home modifications for individuals with a physical disability and financial need. Our donation benefited a father who was injured when his bike collided with an RTD bus. HBF was able to help 77 other deserving people last year due to donations of materials, labor, and money - like the funds raised by the Duffer Championship.

2016 event rasied $540 for Dawg Nation Hockey (benefit Andrew) and $180 for Parent Rocker Organization

                                                                                  (extra dollars rasied see below)

    Winners:

  Tom and Beth (aka Sue) Behnke  $180
  Kurt Winfield and Cary Woody $180
  With first half already earmarked for Andrew Ouellette $360

We pledged to give half of the proceeds of the tournament for Andrew and let the winning team pick the recipient of the other half. Tom Behnke and his wife Beth ended up tying with another team, so we ended up splitting the remaining proceeds between the two teams. The Benhkes picked Andrew and Kurt & Cary choose Parent Rocker Org.

In total we are actually donating $800 to Dawg Nation Hockey on behalf of Andrew. There was money donated in excess of the entry fees that was earmarked specifically for this cause and $200 was sent to Parent Rocker Org.  (Jackie and I added to each donation as well)

FYI - the donation was made via Dawg Nation Hockey to be eligible for the 3 to 1
